"I love recipes that are timeless, passed down from generation to generation. This recipe was passed from a church cookbook that I had come across years ago, we loved it and it soon became a staple recipe in our house!!"

How to make Christy's Old-Fashioned Tuna Noodle Casserole

Here are the steps. (Note: I cut the recipe in half and it made a nice meal for my family):

1. Cook egg noodles per the package instructions. Lehman's egg noodles work best.

2. In a large bowl, mix tuna, cream of mushroom soup, cheddar cheese, peas and milk. Mix thoroughly.

4. Season with salt and pepper and mix well until all ingredients are well incorporated. Pour into two greased 9 x 13 pans distributing evenly between the two pans. In a smaller bowl, mix the Panko bread crumbs and melted butter until well mixed.

5. Sprinkle bread crumbs evenly on both pans.

6. Ready for the oven! Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes or until golden brown. You can also put under the broil option for a few minutes to brown the top.

This recipe makes enough for 8 to 10 people. Cut it in half if you are serving a smaller group.
