Serves 6 to 8 people
Pan Used: 10 to 12″ cast iron skillet
1 to 1-1/2 lbs ground beef
Salt and pepper
2 C. elbow macaroni
3/4 C. water
1 small onion, chopped
2 tsp. chopped garlic
1–26 to 32 oz. can spaghetti sauce
2 C. shredded Cheddar cheese
Brown hamburger with onions, salt, pepper and garlic in iron skillet on stove top.
Add macaroni, spaghetti sauce and water. Cover and cook over medium heat until macaroni is tender, about 15 minutes, stirring often.
When tender, turn off stove and stir in 1-1/2 cups of cheese. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup on top and cover with lid for 5 minutes to melt.
