Sausage Gravy

Sausage Gravy

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. sausage

  • 1/4 C. chopped onion or 1/4 tsp. onion

  • 1/2 C. flour (wheat or white)

  • 3 C. milk

  • 1 T. parsley flakes

  • 1 tsp. chicken soup base

Instructions

  1. Fry sausage and onion well.
  2. Add flour over the top and stir thoroughly into the meat. Slowly add milk. Add parsley and chicken base.

  3. Stir until it boils and cook together until thickened. Serve over the biscuits, pancakes or fried cornmeal mush.
